Lady Kem

Dr. Conner, as eloquently referred to as, “Lady Kem” was born and raised in Memphis, TN.  She received her Bachelors degree from University of Tennessee at Martin and her Masters degree from University of Memphis.  Being an innovative thinker and trailblazer she soared at achieving her Education Specialist Degree from Union University and graduated from the University of Memphis in 2017 as Dr. Kemmeshela Brooks-Conner, Ed.D in Leadership and Policy Studies.

Lady Kem is a resourceful professional in education reform with a plethora of experience as an educator, science expert, and HR leader.  In a professional capacity she is a Manager for Shelby County Schools and is exceptionally knowledgeable in cultivating teams, educational leadership, curriculum development and performance management. Dr. Conner is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and a distinguished member of the National Educator Association, Association for Supervision and Curriculum development as well as American Society of Training and Development.

Although numerous awards have been bestowed upon Dr. Conner throughout her collegiate and professional tenure, the most recent was being inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society, which is the world’s premier collegiate honor society based on diligence, commitment to excellence, and scholastic achievements. Lady Kem is the epitome of a God-fearing woman with Beauty and Smarts. She married the love of her life, Dr. David T. Conner and has two children, Breona and Solomon.  She loves praying, teaching and serving the Lord, which she plans to do for the duration of her life.

Drs. David and Kemmeshela foundation of ministry together stems from scripture quoted from Luke 14:48, “too much is given, much is required”. Their level of support to the body of Christ is impeccable.  Selflessly, Praying, covering, and meeting the needs of the people is how you would see them not just on Sunday’s but every day!
